  • What is the housing situation?

All campers will be assigned a room at the University City Sheraton Hotel in partnership with Braddak Volleyball LLC. and the University of Pennsylvania. Campers will walk with a member of camp staff from the hotel to the gym and back. There will be no more than 2 campers per room (all rooms are 2 double beds) and we will do our best to accommodate roommate requests.

Camper rooms will be assigned next to staff rooms to ensure adequate supervision at all times. Once we enter the hotel for the evening, NO camper is allowed to leave their rooms/camp meeting space, or hotel without the written, expressed consent of their legal parent/guardian and Head Coach Iain Braddak.

This is a fully functioning hotel and we ask that our campers respect the privacy and space of the hotel’s additional guests. We will cover appropriate behavior and expectations in our “orientation meeting” after check in.

How do I request a roommate?

Both campers have to send us their request, first and last name, via email to upennvolleyball@gmail.com.

Where is Check In and Check Out?

Check In for both resident and commuter campers will take place at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel (3549 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 - 215-387-8000). Please park on Chestnut Street or the adjacent streets in order to check in. The best parking will be on Chestnut Street or Walnut Street between 36th and 34th.

Check Out will take place at the same location.

*More details are included in your “Welcome to Camp” email upon registration.

What if I am a commuter camper?

At the beginning and end of each day, commuter campers need to check in and check out with a designated member of the coaching staff. Other than initial registration, parents of commuter campers can drop off and pick up their child at the flagpole in front of the Palestra each day.

What is in the camp store?

Each night, we will order pizzas and have them available at the camp store. There will also be a variety of other snacks and sports drinks.

    What is your refund policy?

Full refund less credit card registration fee is available until July 1. If you pay online, the online processing fee is non-refundable regardless of date of cancellation. For all cancellations after July 1, we are happy to refund your camp fee minus $150. Unfortunately, we cannot issue any refunds once your camp session begins.

    Are meals provided to campers?

Breakfast is provided to resident campers both Saturday and Sunday morning. All campers, resident and commuter, will be provided lunch and dinner on both Friday and Saturday. Snacks and drinks will be provided to all campers at the end of camp on Sunday. There will also be pizza and snacks available to purchase Friday and Saturday nights at the camp store in the hotel.

Is there transportation provided from the airport to campus?

Unfortunately, we do not provide transportation from the airport to campus and vice versa. Uber/Lyft/etc. is the best option for transportation.

    Do you have a waitlist?

Yes, we will have a waitlist. Most of our residential spots sell out by late May to early June. If you want to be placed on the waitlist, simply email upennvolleyball@gmail.com and we will place you on the list. We will contact you immediately when an opening arises.
